Chemotherapy Medications Coordinator

Job Description:
Hunter AHP Resourcing is a leading provider of pharmacy locum services, and we are currently seeking an experienced oncology pharmacist to join our team.
About the Position:
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with part-time availability considered. The successful candidate will have previous experience in oncology pharmacy and will be able to provide expert pharmaceutical advice and support to oncology teams.
Responsibilities:
- Providing expert pharmaceutical advice and support to oncology teams
- Reviewing and dispensing chemotherapy prescriptions
- Supporting the preparation and dispensing of cytotoxic medications
- Conducting clinical reviews of oncology patients
- Offering pharmaceutical expertise on managing side effects and drug regimens
- Participating in oncology multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Advising on the safe and effective use of oncology medications
- Supporting stock management and procurement of oncology medications
- Ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines and safety protocols
- Contributing to oncology audits and patient safety initiatives
Requirements:
- GPhC registration
- Proven experience working in an oncology pharmacy setting
- Knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and safe handling practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within teams
- Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment
- Must have the right to work in the UK
