About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Complex Needs Service team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mental health care to adults with personality-based difficulties and complex trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement direct and indirect psychological care to our client group, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service-wide initiatives, promoting evidence-based practice and best outcomes for our clients.
  • Provide consultation and training to other professional groups, enhancing their understanding of complex mental health needs and effective interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver high-quality psychological therapies, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy, and Cognitive Analytic Therapy.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, registered with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist. Desirable qualifications include post-doctoral training in additional specialised areas of psychological practice, such as cognitive analytic psychotherapy or EMDR.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, carers, and other professionals. They will also have a strong commitment to continuing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in clinical psychology.
