Job Title: Youth Services Advisor

Essex County Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Services Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our youth services team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people to overcome barriers to education, employment, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one mentoring and group work to young people to help them overcome barriers to education, employment, and training.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, social care, and other agencies to provide a coordinated approach to supporting young people.
  • Develop and deliver intensive support packages to identified young people to help them achieve their goals.
  • Manage a defined caseload of young people and maintain accurate records of their progress.

Requirements:

  • Educated to IAG Qualification, Dip CG, QCG or NVQ 4 LDDS (minimum NVQ 4) level.
  • Preferably working towards level 6 LDDS. Evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area.
  • A broad understanding of the issues affecting young people, opportunities for learning, and the services provided by partner organisations.
