Senior Youth Justice Service Practitioner, West Essex - Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team in West Essex. As a Senior Youth Justice Service Practitioner, you will be responsible for managing complex cases and guiding young people towards a brighter future.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer specialist advice and professional consultation to shape the practices of our dedicated team.
  • Utilise Asset+ and other YOS tools to understand and support the unique journeys of young individuals.
  • Oversee a diverse range of high-risk cases, ensuring adherence to National and Service Standards with precision and care.
  • Develop tailored plans that resonate with young people and their families, reducing risks and preventing reoffending.
  • Prepare insightful reports for Court or Youth Offender Panels and take the lead in multi-agency case conferences when a social care perspective is paramount.
  • Ensure that safeguarding processes are robust and responsive, safeguarding the futures of those in our care.

Driving Requirements:

The role requires you to be mobile throughout a wider operational area, including travelling around the county of Essex and beyond, transporting service users and their belongings, and to be able to do so in an emergency. A driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential.
