Senior Social Care Professional – Children with Disabilities

At Essex County Council, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Social Care Professional to join our Children with Disabilities Service.

We provide an integrated and holistic service to empower children and young adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and their families. Our dedicated teams work together seamlessly to deliver high-quality care and support.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our service users. As a Senior Social Care Professional, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and developing tailored care plans
  • Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver effective support
  • Providing guidance and supervision to junior team members
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of service user interactions

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker
  • Demonstrable capability to practice in line with current professional standards
  • Strong working knowledge of information technology and related systems
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when necessary
