- Ensure adherence to Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and protocols.
- Deliver support to enable customers to develop independent living skills.
- Champion a positive local culture within the service.
- Support customers to undertake domestic tasks and promote social inclusion.
- Participate in support planning, risk management, and assessment of needs.
- Report and support any observations relating to customer welfare.
- Develop links with local statutory and voluntary organizations to provide engagement opportunities for customers.
- Shift lead, ensuring effective coordination of staff time.
- Maintain good standards of records and reporting.
- Engage in learning and development activities to increase knowledge and skills.
- Attend and participate in team meetings, customer meetings, and daily handovers.
We are looking for an individual with good values and a strong work ethic. You will be trustworthy, able to work in partnership, and willing to achieve outstanding outcomes. You will be capable of working as part of a group or team and able to use your initiative.
You will be respectful, articulate, and sensitive in your style of communication. You will have a practical and logical mind and be naturally well-organized. You will be confident, motivated, and have good self-esteem.
Requirements- Good values and a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrable willingness and/or experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable).
- Relevant sector work experience (desirable).
