Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at The Forward Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental wellbeing support to individuals in custody, working closely with adults on an individual or group face-to-face basis. This will involve conducting assessments, developing care plans, and referring clients where necessary.
To be considered for this role, you must have experience in the field of substance misuse, mental health, or custody. You should also be IT competent, diligent, proactive, and passionate about helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to address risk and inform mental wellbeing treatment journeys.
- Develop and contribute to the Mental Wellbeing care needs of service users, supporting them in the development of care plans which are appropriate to their needs.
- Proactively approach integrated ways of working support and adopt a multidisciplinary approach.
- Be involved with regular service audits ensuring that any issues are addressed in a timely manner and good practice is effectively shared to ensure continuous improvement.
