Job Title: Youth Mental Health Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Youth Mental Health Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing specialist support to young people with mental health issues.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health services, with experience in working with children and young people. They will be responsible for providing specialist support, guidance, and advice to families and carers.
Main Responsibilities:
- To provide specialist support to young people with mental health issues, working closely with families and carers
- To contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, identifying areas for improvement
- To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services, identifying areas for improvement
- To support the operational manager with day-to-day running of the service, including recruitment, sickness, and health roster management
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a graduate training program (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy) with registration from a professional body (e.g., HCPC, NMC)
- Experience of working with children and young people with mental health or learning disabilities, providing specialist interventions
- Knowledge of legislation related to children and adolescents, safeguarding procedures, and policies
Salary: £58,000 - £68,000 per annum
