About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Senior Nursing Team in Division C at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as the Deputy Head of Nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of exceptional urgent and emergency care to the people of Cambridgeshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of exceptional urgent and emergency care to the people of Cambridgeshire.
  • Line Management of a team of 5 Matrons and leadership of over 400 Nursing and Support Staff.
  • Work closely with the Head of Nursing and other Deputy Heads of Nursing to ensure that the Division delivers consistently outstanding nursing care in line with our Trust values.
  • Support the delivery of the Trust strategy by driving improvements in all key performance standards affecting the NEL pathway.
Requirements
  • A deep understanding of the non-elective pathways based on experience of Senior Leadership within an emergency care setting.
  • Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of the non-elective pathways.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
