Job Description

As a Business Development Manager at Octopus Investments, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills, knowledge, and professional network in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

This role involves managing and embedding yourself in a region with a combination of established and growth accounts, across Liverpool, Chester, Warrington, and Crewe. You will be responsible for running a regional sales strategy, retaining, growing, and developing relationships with a network of Financial Advisers and Private Banks to maximise sales opportunities for the Octopus Investments product range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to drive sales growth and expand the customer base.
  • Work closely with Internal Business Development Managers to create and deliver a regional business plan, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic directions.
  • Communicate complex solutions effectively to Financial Advisers and ensure products and messaging are aligned with customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Fund Managers and Business Line Managers to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a business development role, preferably in the Financial Services sector.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality results, drive growth, and attract new business relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a clear, concise, and articulate communication style.
  • Drive, ambition, and self-motivation, with a customer-obsessed mindset.
