Matron for Theatres and Critical Care

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Matron to join our team in Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Theatre and Critical Care services, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Main Responsibilities- Provide inclusive leadership and professional standards in clinical areas.
- Ensure governance, patient safety, and quality are maintained.
- Manage workforce planning and resource allocation.
- Improve patient experience and reduce health inequalities.
- Oversee performance and operational activities.
- Develop and implement digital and information technology strategies.
- Lead education, training, and development initiatives.
- Drive research and development activities.
- Foster collaborative working and clinical effectiveness.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a registered nursing or AHP qualification, evidence of post-registration development at degree level, and management experience. A Master's degree and experience in influencing internal and external activities are desirable.
Key Skills and Experience- Experience in clinical nursing practice in Theatre and Critical Care settings.
- Ability to influence and lead internal and external activities.
- Knowledge of clinical nursing practice in Theatres and Critical Care settings.
- Experience of working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams.
