Matron - Theatres and Critical Care Services Leader

About the Role
Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Matron to lead our Theatre and Critical Care Services. As a key member of our Planned and Surgical Care Directorate, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients within our hospital base, outpatients, and community settings.
Main Responsibilities
The Matron will be a highly visible, accessible, and authoritative presence in clinical areas, providing leadership, assistance, advice, and support to patients, their families, and other stakeholders.
The role will focus on inclusive leadership, professional standards, and accountability, as well as governance, patient safety, and quality. You will also be responsible for workforce planning and resource management, patient experience, and reducing health inequalities.

Person Specification
We are looking for a registered nurse or AHP with evidence of post-registration development at degree level. You will also need management experience and an ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification.
Key Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of clinical nursing practice in Theatre and Critical Care settings, as well as experience in influencing internal and external activities. You will also need to have experience across the scope of the Matron's ten key roles, with potential to do all.
