About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Matron to join our team in Theatres and Critical Care Services. As a Matron, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inclusive leadership and professional standards to ensure the highest quality care for patients.
  • Ensure governance, patient safety, and quality are upheld in all aspects of the service.
  • Develop and implement effective workforce planning and resource management strategies.
  • Improve patient experience and reduce health inequalities through targeted initiatives.
  • Oversee performance and operational aspects of the service, ensuring seamless delivery of care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive digital and information technology advancements.
  • Develop and implement education, training, and development programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Support research and development initiatives to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical teams to drive service improvement and transformation.

Requirements
  • Registered Nursing or AHP qualification.
  • Evidence of post-registration development at degree level.
  • Management experience, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification.
