Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham

Resort Information:

Salary: £11.44 per hour plus a share of service charge

Hours: 0-32 hours, including weekends and bank holidays

Relationships: General Manager, Spa Team, Reception Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Spa Receptionist to join our team at Seaham Hall. As a key member of our spa operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed guest expectations on arrival, departure, and throughout their spa experience
  • Maintain a warm and friendly manner, effectively assisting guests on a daily basis
  • Provide a high level of customer service and personability in line with brand values
  • Enhance the 'guest experience' on a daily basis
  • Act as the main point of contact for all spa clients and personnel, reflecting the five-star standard of excellence
  • Complete administration tasks with a high level of accuracy and competence
  • Operate the spa software effectively, updating guest profiles and securing bookings
  • Manage daily bookings, maximizing treatment appointments and ensuring client requests are accommodated
  • Ensure all guests have completed their relevant documentation, checking them in and out of the spa efficiently
  • Attend meetings or training courses as required
  • Process payments correctly, following correct procedures and communicating effectively with guests
  • Be respectful of guests' confidentiality and privacy, maintaining a high level of professional etiquette
  • Prepare guest information and processes for the following day, executing a high level of organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Promote spa offers and events at all opportunities to meet and exceed department goals
  • Be knowledgeable about all spa treatments, promotions, spa packages, and any contraindications that can affect a guest's treatment
  • Liaise with maintenance and housekeeping departments regarding out-of-order services
  • Liaise with members of the reservations team for daily reservation checks
  • Assist team members in different departments as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the spa operation
  • Effectively liaise with hotel reception to post room account charges successfully
  • Carry out elaborate guest tours
  • Ensure all operational standards are met and exceeded on a daily basis
  • Feedback to the spa management team as required
  • Maintain the spa reception area as clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times
  • Complete necessary checklists and tasks daily
  • Maintain uniform and grooming standards as outlined in the staff handbook
  • Adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures and Health and Safety Policy

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns and high punctuality
  • Computer literate and a good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft systems
  • A good team ethic throughout the working environment
  • Possess a high standard of interpersonal and organizational skills
  • A high standard of personal appearance and presentation is essential at all times, reflecting the brand
