Job Title: SEN Tutor

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide individualised educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in South East England, Surrey, Horley.

Job Type:

This is a temporary, part-time position, with the option to become permanent in the future.

Salary:

The hourly rate for this role is £20-£30, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Job Duties:

As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing tailored teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEN.
  • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field are essential for this role.

Experience:

Prior experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.Knowledge and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An in-depth understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • The ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN.
  • Knowledge of relevant educational technologies.
Working Conditions:
