Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide individualised educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in South East England, Surrey, Horley.
Job Type:This is a temporary, part-time position, with the option to become permanent in the future.
Salary:The hourly rate for this role is £20-£30, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Job Duties:As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing tailored teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the holistic development of students.
- Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure the effective support of students with SEN.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
A recognised teaching qualification and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field are essential for this role.
Experience:Prior experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have:
- An in-depth understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- The ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN.
- Knowledge of relevant educational technologies.
This role involves working in an educational setting, collaborating with students, parents, and educational professionals, and adhering to relevant policies and procedures related to SEN education.
