We are currently seeking an experienced Band 5 nurse to join our team as a Band 5 Senior Nurse. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to develop their clinical skills and take on a new challenge.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients on Avocet Ward (Male) and Sandpiper Ward (Female). You will work closely with the Ward Matron and other members of the healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

The successful candidate will have at least 12 months experience in an inpatient setting and a strong background in clinical leadership. They will also have completed training for the supervision of student nurses.

This is a rotational position with day and night shifts over a 7-day week. All candidates must be physically fit and able to engage in PMVA (Teamwork) training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct high-quality nursing care to patients using a range of evidence-based interventions
  • Act as a resource and provide advice on nursing care in relation to clinical interventions, policies, service development, and delivery
  • Demonstrate competency in applying relevant areas of nursing expertise within a multi-professional arena
  • Be acknowledged as an expert clinical leader, act as a role model, and provide clinical supervision within the allocated wards
