About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacy Technician to lead our procurement and dispensary team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of medicines and supplies, as well as managing the dispensary team at our Redwoods Centre site.

You will work closely with our procurement team, pharmacy staff, and external agencies to ensure the safe and cost-effective procurement of medicines and supplies. Your leadership and management skills will be essential in motivating and developing your team to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership on procurement and dispensary services, ensuring compliance with NHS standards and regulations.
  2. Manage the dispensary team at the Redwoods Centre site, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services.
  3. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the safe and cost-effective procurement of medicines and supplies.
  4. Collaborate with the procurement team, pharmacy staff, and external agencies to ensure the smooth operation of procurement and dispensary services.
  5. Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of procurement and dispensary services.
  6. Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure the effective management of procurement and dispensary services.
Requirements
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Experience in managing pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures and procurement practices.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
