Job Title: Lead Pharmacy Technician Procurement

Are you a motivated and experienced pharmacy technician looking to take on a leadership role in procurement? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to lead our pharmacy procurement team at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly organized and effective leader to manage our pharmacy procurement team. As Lead Pharmacy Technician Procurement, you will be responsible for leading the team of procurement technicians and pharmacy support workers, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to develop our procurement services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pharmacy procurement team to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement and supply of medicines.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team, pharmacy staff, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and supply chain management.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the dispensary team at Redwoods site.
  • Communicate with pharmaceutical wholesalers, manufacturers, and external agencies to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement and supply of medicines.
  • Attend and participate in regional pharmacy procurement meetings and adjudication meetings regarding the tendering of medicines and services.
