Job Title: Assistant Manager

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a small team while maintaining your own portfolio of clients. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, delivering high-quality work to agreed deadlines and ensuring that all deadlines are met, work is completed within budget, and the job is finalized to minimize partner review time.

You will be involved in managing day-to-day departmental queries, file reviews, and ensuring jobs are being managed in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, you may be asked to contribute to one-off projects or tasks as requested by the partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team and maintain your own portfolio of clients
  • Deliver high-quality work to agreed deadlines
  • Ensure all deadlines are met, work is completed within budget, and the job is finalized to minimize partner review time
  • Manage day-to-day departmental queries and file reviews
  • Contribute to one-off projects or tasks as requested by the partners

Requirements:

  • Qualified Practice Manager / Assistant Manager
  • Experience of not only accounts prep but also resolving more complex client queries or accounting treatments
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the firm's growth and management
