Accounting Systems Specialist

The Bookkeeper and Accounts Assistant plays a central role in the company's finance team, handling day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, record-keeping, and payroll management.
Responsibilities- Paperwork Processing: Accurate and efficient processing of financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and bank statements.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Payroll Support: Providing support to the Payroll Team with driver payment schedules, ensuring accurate record-keeping and authorisation of payments.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, particularly in relation to VAT returns.
- Documentation: Organising and managing financial documentation, ensuring all records are properly scanned, filed, and logged.
- System Maintenance: Updating and maintaining the company's accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of issues.
- Sales Collaboration: Working closely with the sales team to generate accurate sales invoices, addressing any discrepancies in a timely manner.
The salary for this position is approximately £25,000 per annum.
