Medical Specialist for Prisons

We are seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner to join our team at HMP Winchester, a category B remand prison based in Hampshire.

- Hours: Monday - Friday 7pm-10pm or 6-10pm; Saturday 2pm-5pm or 1-5pm.
This part-time position offers an annual salary up to £126,600 per annum FTE depending on experience.
Bespoke induction and regional career development opportunities are available.
Candidates must have a legal right to work in the UK.
The successful candidate will provide specialist care to patients and support other healthcare professionals at the site.
- Clinical governance and effectiveness activities, including diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate.

Staff can gain insight into Mental Health and Substance Misuse, and work towards their RCGP level 2.

- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice.
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse.
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or willingness to undertake these.
