About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join our Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Team. As an IRO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare and safety of children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chairing multi-agency initial and review child protection conferences
  • Tracking the progress of plans for children and young people
  • Providing advice, guidance, and challenge to staff to ensure positive outcomes
  • Implementing the Signs of Safety practice model and contributing to maintaining practice standards

About You:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified social worker with significant experience of working within statutory child care settings. You will have a sound, up-to-date knowledge of children and young people's legislation, policies, and procedures, as well as court work and assessments. Previous experience as an IRO or supervising others is ideal.
