Job Title: Systematic Approach to Training Lead

Location:

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of SAT, ensuring it is consistently implemented to improve performance, manage risk, implement excellence plans, and comply with training process standards to meet station needs. This includes developing and implementing accredited training programs, overseeing the implementation of SAT, and setting standards and monitoring the implementation of SAT to ensure it is consistently implemented to improve performance, manage risk, implement excellence plans, and comply with training process standards to meet station needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  5. Participate in site, industry, and regulator training initiatives as assigned
  6. Work with the line organization to identify performance deficiencies and supervise performance analyses and training needs analyses to resolve performance issues
  7. Observe and evaluate instructor performance, trainee progress, and course effectiveness to produce improvements in the accredited training program and client group performance
  8. Manage programs, personnel, contractors, contracts, purchases, and resources necessary to effectively implement the training programs and stay within budget
  9. Model and reinforce management expectations for industrial and nuclear safety, procedure adherence, and training conduct for instructors and trainees
  10. Verify training activities are performed by or under the supervision of personnel who have completed applicable qualifications for the tasks to be performed
  11. Ensure training instructors obtain and maintain their technical and instructional knowledge and skills
  12. Interface with NRC and INPO to ensure training programs follow current regulations
  13. Perform or ensure the accomplishment of core supervisory/management functions for a given group(s) within a business unit; planning, organizing, directing the performance of on-going activities and/or special/ad hoc assignments, staffing (employee selections, training, coaching, and performance management, time entry), coordinating, reporting, and budgeting

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED and eight years of Nuclear power plant experience; inclusive of four years of experience in Nuclear Accredited Training Program within specific discipline OR
  • Associate degree in engineering, science, education, or related technical field and six years of Nuclear Power Plant experience inclusive of three years of experience in Nuclear Accredited Training Program within specific discipline, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in science/engineering and four years of industry-related experience inclusive of two years of experience with implementation of training programs using the SAT process within specific discipline

Additional Requirements:

  • Must hold or have held a Senior Reactor Operator License or Certification or Reactor Operator License at Fermi or a similar facility
  • Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to pass all phases of in-processing, including a background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate radiation worker/respiratory training, and medical certification
