About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer - Electrical Power to join our team. As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating classroom, laboratory, and/or simulator training programs using the Systematic Approach to Training model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor field Subject Matter Expert (SME) presenters to ensure maximum student/client benefit and new instructors.
  • Conduct training in accordance with Nuclear Training procedures, work instructions, and best industry practices.
  • Prepare and ensure training material and presentations will result in client group performance improvement.
  • Represent training on Operations or Technical discipline-specific Curriculum Review Committees.
  • Interface with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) to ensure training programs are in compliance with current regulations.

Requirements:

  • Nuclear Instructor Level: High School diploma or equivalent GED and five years of related industry experience OR Associate degree in science/engineering/education with three years of related industry experience OR Bachelor's degree in science/engineering/education with one year of related industry experience.
  • Senior Nuclear Instructor Level: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and seven years of industry job-related experience, OR Associate degree in science/engineering/education with five years of industry job-related experience, OR Bachelor's degree in science/engineering/education with three years of industry job-related experience.
  • Principal Nuclear Instructor Level: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and ten years of related industry job experience and two years of experience with implementation of nuclear training programs using the systematic approach to training (SAT) process in related field, OR Associate degree in science/engineering/education with eight years of related industry job experience and two years of experience with implementation of nuclear training programs using the systematic approach to training (SAT) process, OR Bachelor's degree in science/engineering/education with six years of related industry job experience and two years of experience with implementation of nuclear training programs using systematic approach to training (SAT) process.

Estimated Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
