We are seeking an experienced Soldering and Inspection Specialist to join our manufacturing team at KLA-TENCOR LIMITED's state-of-the-art facility in Newport, South Wales.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating fixturing/tooling or hand-held electronic equipment to test cable assembly or electronic assembly boxes, manual soldering small electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards, visual inspection using a microscope for dies, resistors, capacitors, and implementing systematic problem-solving approaches to find root causes and make correction plans.

The estimated salary for this role is around £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating fixturing/tooling or hand-held electronic equipment.
  • Manual soldering small electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards.
  • Visual inspection using a microscope.
  • Implementing systematic problem-solving approaches.
Requirements
  • HNC/HND qualified in Electrical, Electronic Engineering (or similar subject) or hold equivalent level qualification.
  • Ideal experience in electronic assembly, PCB assembly, and soldering.
  • Excellent analytical and fault-finding skills.
  • Able to utilise electrical and mechanical schematics to rectify faults and defects.
  • Strong communication skills.
