About the Role:

The Deputy Regional Training Manager will be responsible for providing a consistent and professional training function that meets the needs of the business and ensures the effective operations of all training within the Southwest region.

As part of the Learning and Development Mental Health Southwest Training Team, you will oversee the facilitation of high-quality classroom-based training and support in all aspects of required training, including the Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression (TMVA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the learning and development provision within the region.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for information, advice, and guidance.
  • Reviewing training programmes, policies, and resources on a pre-determined basis.
  • Supporting site and hub training delivery, induction programmes, and specialist service delivery.
  • Providing high-quality classroom-based training, on-ward coaching, and support in all aspects of TMVA.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing, leading, and developing a team.
  • Demonstrating an engaging management approach, leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Experience working with senior management and stakeholders to achieve business aims.
  • Qualification as a GSA TMVA Trainer with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • First Aid at Work Certificate or willingness to gain.
  • CIEH Level 2 in Risk Assessment & Management or willingness to gain.
  • Formal teaching/training qualification or willingness to gain.
  • Level 3 in Management & Leadership or willingness to gain.
