Governance and Compliance Manager

Compass Associates Ltd is seeking a Governance and Compliance Manager to join their team. This is a permanent role based in Reading, with hybrid working options.

About the Role

The Governance and Compliance Manager will play a key role in ensuring the organisation's governance and compliance framework is effective and up-to-date. This will involve working closely with the Head of Governance and Leadership Team to develop and implement governance and compliance strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement governance and compliance strategies
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure effective governance and compliance
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and support to staff on governance and compliance
  • Lead on incident management and support
  • Support the development of quality improvement plans

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level or qualified by demonstrable experience in a clinical area
  • Experience of regulatory requirements and compliance, legal interactions, procurement, insurance, and contracts
  • Able to investigate, manage and create actionable service improvement plans through incident/deviation management
  • Experience of creation and delivery of training programmes
  • The ability to research best practices and support implementation across teams
  • The ability to manage the operational aspect of the role regarding governance and compliance
  • The ability to learn and develop quickly
  • Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and a systematic thinker
  • Holds or is willing to work towards a recognised qualification in Governance / Risk management
