Governance and Compliance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance and Compliance Manager to join our team at Compass Associates Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a key role in ensuring the effective governance and compliance of our organisation.

About the Role:

The Governance and Compliance Manager will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to ensure that our organisation operates within a framework of good governance and compliance. This will involve working closely with the Head of Governance and Leadership Team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes that promote a culture of compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement governance and compliance strategies to ensure the effective management of risk and compliance
  • Provide guidance and support to teams across the organisation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Conduct audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes that promote a culture of compliance and risk management
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs to ensure that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage risk and compliance
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Head of Governance and Leadership Team on governance and compliance matters

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or qualified by demonstrable experience in a clinical area
  • Experience of regulatory requirements and compliance, legal interactions, procurement, insurance, and contracts
  • Able to investigate, manage and create actionable service improvement plans through incident/deviation management
  • Experience of creation and delivery of training programmes
  • The ability to research best practices and support implementation across teams
  • The ability to manage the operational aspect of the role regarding governance and compliance
  • The ability to learn and develop quickly
  • Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and a systematic thinker
  • Holds or is willing to work towards a recognised qualification in Governance / Risk management
