About the Role

The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Operational Team Manager to join our Learning Disability Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing operational line management to our teams, ensuring safe and effective processes to support the operational and financial delivery of our service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational line management to the teams, ensuring safe and effective processes to support the operational and financial delivery of the service.
  • Support and oversee operational delivery of the teams, working autonomously to address issues impacting on service delivery.
  • Establish effective working relationships with staff, commissioners, and partner agencies to build credibility and work collaboratively across the service.
  • Lead service developments, delivering clinical services to people with Learning Disabilities, and promoting a culture of continued development and improvement of the LD service.
  • Monitor performance, ensure effective communications, and maintain and develop effective partnerships.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate study to Masters Level or equivalent in a field related to health and social care.
  • Experience in operational and/or project management role in the NHS, with a proven track record of leading service developments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Learning disability services and pathways, as well as current and proposed initiatives impacting on health services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen to and respect others' views and opinions.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, commissioners, and partner agencies.
  • Ability to build credibility and work collaboratively with others across the service.
  • Effective people management skills, with the ability to create a culture where staff are valued and supported.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse a situation, identify root causes, and seek solutions to address the problem.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to make effective decisions.
  • Excellent IT skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of finance and budget management.
