Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, promoting a positive safety culture and escalating incidents as necessary.
  • Take a clear leadership role during breakdowns, ensuring effective handover processes and auditing work to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with Operational Teams and Centre Managers to develop and drive maintenance of production lines, improve quality, safety, and asset utilization, meeting agreed metrics and SLAs.
  • Optimize automation performance, analyze error rates, and develop corrective action plans to drive business improvement.
  • Set team goals, communicate long-term objectives, and ensure everyone understands their role in achieving team success.
  • Effectively manage personnel matters, including absence management, talent development, and misconduct/grievance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC, or equivalent qualification in engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
  • Able to collaborate and influence peers and senior management to drive progress and achieve desired results.
  • Previous experience in a management position.
  • Ability to manage people performance, coaching, and development of a team.
  • FMCG or food management experience.
