We are currently recruiting 24 trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) to join our team. As a trainee EMHP, you will work closely with our experienced team to deliver interventions to children, young people, and families in educational settings.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver short-term, low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) informed interventions for children aged 5-19 years with anxiety, low mood, family and peer relationship difficulties, difficulty adjusting to change, or managing emotions in educational settings.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans for children and young people.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify the mental health and wellbeing needs of children and young people.
- Develop and maintain relationships with schools, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience of working with children, young people, and families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, young people, and adults.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
