About the Role

Mental Health Matters is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Manager to lead our Barnsley Support Hub. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish links with crisis and home treatment teams, hospital liaison, street triage, and other partners to promote independence and social inclusion.
  • Manage a team of Crisis Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers, and Volunteers to achieve person-centered care and support individuals in their recovery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to inspire and engage individuals, identify barriers, and understand client needs.
  • Facilitate group-based activities, signpost individuals to mainstream provision, and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Lead, manage, coach, and mentor colleagues to ensure the highest quality of service delivery.
Requirements
  • Education to Diploma or NVQ Level 3 Management or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, with knowledge of Primary and Secondary Care pathways.
  • Ability to inspire and engage individuals, identify barriers, and understand client needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
