Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership
    • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring high-quality care and services are delivered to service users.
    • Develop and implement clinical systems to support and monitor practice and performance.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Service Development
    • Contribute to the development of new services and initiatives to improve care outcomes for service users.
    • Work with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance service delivery.
  • Staff Development and Supervision
    • Provide clinical supervision and support to nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, families, and carers.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
    • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Learning Disability Nursing).
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Advanced knowledge of learning disability nursing and community health care.
    • Excellent clinical leadership and management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
  • Additional Skills and Qualifications
    • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Learning Disability Nursing).
    • Experience in clinical research and development.
    • Ability to drive and access to a car during working hours.
