Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Clinical Practitioner to lead our ADHD pathway and Non-Medical Prescribing workforce. As a key member of our Multi-Disciplinary Team and Leadership Team, you will work closely with professionals and families/carers to provide high-quality care for children and young people with ADHD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of clinical practice within ADHD and across the Trust, ensuring excellence in care and communication with colleagues and external partners.
  • Take the lead in extending boundaries and creating frameworks for the enhancement of clinical practice within your speciality.
  • Work as an independent non-medical prescriber, taking responsibility for the clinical assessment of patients, establishing diagnoses, and managing treatment in accordance with Trust protocols.
  • Provide professional leadership, consultancy, and clinical supervision to colleagues, including Primary Care and other agencies.
  • Develop and deliver training and education packages for individuals and groups, promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of working within neurodiversity at Senior level or above.
  • Experience of working therapeutically within ADHD and Neurodiversity.
  • Substantial experience in managerial/nursing leadership roles.
  • Experience of leading service development changes.
  • Developed awareness of the evolving healthcare agenda and its implications for nursing/clinical practice.
  • Experience of research and developing theory into practice.
  • Evidence of facilitating quality improvement into practice.
  • Developed knowledge of clinical governance issues.
  • Experience of training and education.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
  • Current registration as Independent Non-Medical Prescriber.
  • Teaching, training, or mentorship qualification or experience to an equivalent level.
