Senior Advanced Care Practitioner/Lead ADHD Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Clinical Practitioner to lead our ADHD pathway and Non-Medical Prescribing workforce. As a key member of our Multi-Disciplinary Team and Leadership Team, you will work closely with professionals and families/carers to provide high-quality care for children and young people with ADHD.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the development of clinical practice within ADHD and across the Trust, ensuring excellence in care and communication with colleagues and external partners.
- Take the lead in extending boundaries and creating frameworks for the enhancement of clinical practice within your speciality.
- Work as an independent non-medical prescriber, taking responsibility for the clinical assessment of patients, establishing diagnoses, and managing treatment in accordance with Trust protocols.
- Provide expert clinical practice, including clinician-led clinics and clinical diagnosis, and independent prescribing where permitted/appropriate for ADHD.
- Offer professional leadership, consultancy, and clinical supervision to the wider service, including Primary Care and other agencies.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate training and education packages for individuals and groups in various settings.
- Extensive experience of working within neurodiversity at Senior (B7) level or above.
- Experience of working therapeutically within ADHD and Neurodiversity.
- Substantial experience in managerial/nursing leadership roles.
- Experience of leading service development changes.
- Developed awareness of the evolving healthcare agenda and its implications for nursing/clinical practice.
- Experience of research and developing theory into practice.
- Evidence of facilitating quality improvement into practice.
- Developed knowledge of clinical governance issues.
- Experience of training and education.
- First-level Registered Nurse or Clinical Practitioner registered with the appropriate professional body.
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Current registration as Independent Non-Medical Prescriber/or completion of a working with medication prescribing course and demonstration of competence with medication if professional group unable to prescribe.
- A current driving licence and access to a car during the working day is essential (reasonable adjustments will be considered for any applicants who are unable to drive due to a disability).
