About the Role

Mental Health Matters is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Manager to lead our Barnsley Support Hub. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with crisis and home treatment teams, hospital liaison, street triage, and other partners to promote independence and social inclusion.
  • Manage a team of Crisis Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers, and Volunteers to achieve the best person-centred care for clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to inspire, engage, and motivate individuals with mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify barriers, understand client needs, and support individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Provide one-to-one engagement, facilitate group-based activities, and signpost individuals to mainstream provision.

Requirements:

  • Education to Diploma or NVQ Level 3 Management or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, with knowledge of Primary and Secondary Care pathways.
  • Ability to inspire and engage individuals, identify barriers, and understand client needs.
  • Excellent motivational skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring colleagues.
