We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in the North of England. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development within a positive and inclusive work environment.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary (£35,000 - £45,000 per annum) plus commission scheme, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension contributions, hybrid working, social events, 360 wellbeing app, access to enhanced family-friendly policies, and cycle-to-work scheme.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that involves achieving monthly sales targets by maintaining relationships with a customer base in the North of England and developing new business with prospects and lapsed accounts.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining regular contact with customers on our buying platform.
  • Selling the full range of Pelsis group products to customers.
  • Ensuring customers remain adequately stocked with the Pelsis group range, introducing new products where possible.
  • Providing up-to-date product information, including product changes.
  • Developing an understanding of each customer, the market they sell into, and the way they promote products.
  • Ensuring Pelsis is the sole supplier by selling the features, advantages, and benefits of our products.
  • Developing an understanding and keeping up-to-date with competitors' products.
New Business Development

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Convert new business and expand our offering to the current customer base.
  • Aim to visit and convert as many prospects as possible.
Administration

The key administrative responsibilities include:

  • Producing a monthly report demonstrating the previous month's results and predicted sales for the following month.
  • Forecasting the sales position accurately.
  • Producing accurate trip reports and submitting them to the North Sales Manager.
  • Maintaining the CRM system.
  • Submitting expenses forms to the North Sales Manager.
  • Resolving any issues relating to payment, working with Accounts Receivable team.
  • Inputting any customer complaints onto the complaint system and forwarding them to the Customer Service team to follow up.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A good level of education and qualifications.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Product sales experience (desirable).
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate on all levels.
  • A good level of communication, conversational, and persuasive skills required.
  • Self-motivation and a sense of urgency.
