Care Assistant for SEN School

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at our school in Kingston Upon Thames. This is a full-time position that involves providing assistance with personal care, including feeding, washing, dressing, and medicating as required.
The role will involve working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop individualized care plans and provide emotional support to children who may be experiencing anxiety or distress. Our school provides a supportive environment with small group sizes and 1:1 support when needed.
This is an ideal opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with SEN. As a Care Assistant, you will work independently when necessary, supporting children without supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing personal care support to students with moderate to severe SEN
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop care plans
- Providing emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety or distress
- Residing in Kingston or within commuting distance
- Holding an enhanced child and adult DBS or willing to obtain one
- Experience as a School Care Assistant or relevant SEN experience
- Comfortable performing personal care tasks when needed
- A competitive salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
