About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team at Age UK's Leatherhead shop. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers, while also contributing to the successful day-to-day running of the shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that every customer has a great shopping experience.
  • Support with sales, stock rotation, and organizing displays to maximize shop sales and profits.
  • Deputise for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in their absence, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Represent Age UK in a professional manner, reflecting our core values and promoting a positive image of the charity.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10kg.
  • Flexibility to work additional days to cover holidays and sickness, or participate in trading outside of normal shop hours.
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as commitment to equal opportunities.
