About the Role

Menzies Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Cargo Operations Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for processing documentation and ensuring the smooth operation of our cargo and mail services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process documentation related to freight and mail, using clerical and computerized methods, in accordance with company procedures and government regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of documentation, meeting service level agreements and handling special requirements such as hazardous materials and restricted items.
  • Perform daily clerical operations, achieving high levels of service and productivity.
  • Liaise with supervisors to ensure informed decision-making and effective communication.
  • Conduct dangerous goods checks and adhere to IATA and carrier regulations.

Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance

As a Cargo Operations Coordinator, you will have a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment. You will be responsible for taking reasonable care of your own health and safety, as well as that of your colleagues, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • AVSEC Security Level CO (old Level D) certification or higher.
  • Extensive experience in cargo operations, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Hermes and other relevant systems.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and handling multiple tasks.
