Job Title: Wealth and Asset Management Corporate Tax Associate Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Financial Services Tax team in London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in UK corporation tax and transactions, with a focus on wealth and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide highly technical tax advice to UK and multinational asset managers and the funds they manage, including transaction and tax structuring support.
- Lead and manage UK and international corporate tax advisory projects, post-transaction support, and compliance obligations.
- Develop and lead a diverse client portfolio, ensuring a high level of client service.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Grant Thornton tax practice, Financial Services Industry, and international network to identify opportunities from both new and existing clients.
- Actively contribute to business development activities by proactively managing existing relationships and pitching work to new clients.
- Proactively train and develop more junior members of the team, including through the delivery of bespoke training sessions.
Requirements:
- Professional qualification (CTA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent).
- Confidence in managing a portfolio of clients.
- Strong tax technical skills and an interest in the financial services sector.
- Strong corporate tax compliance experience, including awareness of hybrid and other mismatch rules, interest deductibility, controlled foreign companies regime, Pillar 2, etc.
- Track record of leading projects, with a focus on accountability, high quality, and timely delivery.
- Self-motivated and strong team player.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Alphatax, CCH personal tax, Power BI, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
- Experience of coaching and developing more junior team members.
