An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National AHP Lead to join the Managed Service Network for Children and Young People with Cancer (MSN CYPC). The MSN was established in 2011 to ensure a single sustainable model of service delivery for children, teenagers, and young people with cancer. The network provides support to all relevant clinicians operating across Scotland to work collectively in accordance with national guidelines and standards. This role offers the chance to contribute to that responsive and dynamic network.
The post holder will be responsible for collaboratively supporting the strategic development of AHP cancer services for children and young people with cancer. They will not have direct budgetary responsibility but will be required to source, secure, and direct funding for the development of projects within their portfolio. As such, they will have varying degrees of financial accountability.
The post holder will either be line managed by or accountable to the National Network Manager depending on the Health Board of employment. They will report to the National Network Manager and will collaborate with the wider MSN CYPC clinical leadership team on strategic development. They will also take a lead on improvement initiatives for AHPs as required by the children and young people's cancer strategy.
