About the Role

This Adult Support Professional role is an exciting opportunity to join our Residential Review Team at the City of Edinburgh Council. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support services to service users in care homes across Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of adult protection legislation and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing support plans, and providing advice and guidance to adults and their families.

We offer a supportive and well-established team environment with regular supervision and training opportunities. This post is regulated work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required for certain candidates.

The estimated salary for this position is £42,000 per annum, based on the location and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop support plans for adults in need of protection
  • Provide advice and guidance to adults and their families on risk management and support options
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality support services

Requirements:

  • Strong background in social work, preferably with experience in adult protection investigations
  • Proven track record of managing complex cases and developing effective support plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with adults, families, and multidisciplinary teams
