Family Support Coordinator

The role of a Child Protection Specialist involves working with vulnerable children and families to provide them with the necessary support and resources. As a key member of the POWYS COUNTY COUNCIL Care and Support Team, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing the needs of children at risk.
You will collaborate closely with experienced Social Workers and Wellbeing Workers to ensure that children receive the best possible care and support. This includes providing guidance and advice to parents and caregivers, as well as developing and implementing plans to promote the child's welfare.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to work with the Fostering Team, which oversees all aspects of the fostering process. This may involve assessing and supporting friends and family who wish to become foster carers, as well as recruiting and retaining mainstream foster carers.
The estimated salary range for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. This reflects the level of responsibility, expertise, and commitment required to excel in this challenging yet rewarding role.
