About the Role:

As a Fostering Social Worker with Powys County Council, you will play a vital role in protecting children and enhancing their futures. You will be part of a dedicated Care and Support Team that provides a comprehensive range of services to children, young people, and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to provide a high-quality social work service to individual children and young people, ensuring their safety and enabling them to reach their full potential.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will collaborate with colleagues and partners to maintain good working relationships and achieve successful outcomes. You will also identify risk issues and implement safeguarding measures to minimize risks to children's well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £42,624 per annum (inclusive of allowances)
