About the Role:

Leonard Cheshire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our ancillary services, including catering, maintenance, transportation, domestic services, and activities within our nursing home.

Our nursing home, Cossham Gardens, is a modern, purpose-built facility that provides high-quality care and support to 21 adults. As a Facilities Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of our ancillary services, including catering, maintenance, transportation, and domestic services.
  • Manage a team of staff to ensure that our services are delivered to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
  • Coordinate transportation services to ensure that our residents receive timely and safe transportation to appointments and activities.
  • Work closely with our activities team to develop and implement engaging activities that promote the well-being and quality of life of our residents.
  • Ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained, and that our residents receive a high-quality dining experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a facilities management or operations role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations, with the ability to implement effective safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
