Hospice Helper Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Helper to join our team at Farleigh Hospice. As a valuable member of our clinical support team, you will provide essential support to individuals in need, making a tangible difference in their lives.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be patient, reliable, and understanding, with good IT skills and Microsoft Office/web-based software competency. You will also have a proven ability to work accurately and with attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities
  • Offer listening ear and informal support conversations
  • Make befriending and support calls to patients, clients and community members
  • Keep call records and file electronically
  • Use database system to upload caller information and schedule recurring calls
  • Refer callers to internal services as required
  • Liaise with volunteer team managers and provide open feedback
