Floral Environment Steward

Farleigh Hospice is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join its team as a Community Gardener. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a beautiful outdoor environment, caring for the hospice's gardens and grounds.

The Community Gardener will be responsible for maintaining the hospice's gardens, including flowerbeds, grass areas, herb garden, water features, and fruit trees. This is a great opportunity to develop your gardening skills and knowledge while working in a supportive team environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Tending and weeding flowerbeds to ensure they remain healthy and attractive
• Cutting grass to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
• Planting and caring for the herb garden to provide fresh produce for the hospice's kitchen
• Maintaining water features to create a soothing atmosphere
• Planting summer and winter bedding plants to add colour and vibrancy to the gardens
• Tending fruit trees and harvesting fruit to provide a sustainable food source

We are looking for someone who is physically able to fulfill the requirements of the role, including safe moving and handling. Full support and training will be provided to help you excel in your position. We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including paid time off, training opportunities, and the chance to work in a supportive team environment.
