Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at JD Gyms. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our gym, ensuring that we deliver exceptional customer service and achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage the day-to-day running of the gym, including supervising staff and ensuring that all operations are running smoothly.
  • To assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence, ensuring that the gym continues to operate effectively and efficiently.
  • To develop and implement strategies to drive commercial performance and achieve business objectives.
  • To lead and deliver operational excellence, ensuring that all aspects of the gym's operations are of the highest standard.
  • To deliver set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to the overall success of the gym.
  • To recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a management position within a leisure-related industry, ideally with a background in fitness and leisure.
  • Passionate about customer service and able to inspire and motivate a team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor and experienced in driving sales and coordinating local marketing activity.
  • Experience in managing a successful team and overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility.
